Candle Care

The First Burn

  • Trim wick to 1/4 inch before lighting.
  • Make sure candles are on a flat, fire resistant surface away from any drafts; air vents, open windows, fans, etc.
  • Keep candle lit until it creates a full melt pool, when the melted wax reaches the sides of the container.
  • Blow out the candle or extinguish with a candle snuffer.
  • Do not re-light the candle until the wax has reset/firmed.
  • Do not exceed a burn time of more than 4 hours for jars, and 2 hours for any sculptural candle.

General Safety

  • Burn candle on a safe, heat/fire resistant surface.
  • Burn candle in sight and away from flammable objects.
  • Keep away from drafts.
  • Keep away from children and pets.
  • Extinguish flame before leaving the room.
  • For sculptural candles, make sure to keep them on a dish or tray that will collect spilled wax.
  • Stop burning when only 1/4inch of wax remains.
  • Always trim the wick before each burn.
